This podcast highlights a report called “Black Men Making It in America.” The American Enterprise Institute published it in 2018, and as you may have guessed by the title, the report found some very positive statistics about our Black men. Plus. according to a new analysis of Census data, 57% of Black men have made it into the middle or upper class, compared to 38% in 1960. The number of Black men who are poor has fallen to 18% in 2016. That’s way down from 41% in 1960. So, no matter what you see on the TV, the majority of African American men are not living in poverty.
